Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Love the salad and the pizza is pretty good too. Not the greatest but no regrets. A bit pricey for a pizza joint. I ordered 2 salads with Gorgonzola and one side of bread and it was $29.22 and that was for pick up and no drinks. Would not come here and pay that price on a regular basis but occasionally is ok

Very fresh pizza! I just came from Italy and I swear this is probably as close as it gets (besides the over burnt black crust). Unfortunately their prices are kinda ridiculous for some bread, tomato sauce, and cheese. For that kinda price I'd hope it's at least organic or locally grown (which I highly doubt it is). Also, the menu is kinda short (especially for an Italian place). Oh well, guess you can't have it all.

In the spirit of true transparency it's only fair to let you know that the bf did used to work at an Anthony's many years ago. Because of that, we do have the insight to customize some of the menu items and we receive above average service since he's always recognized. Before meeting my bf I was a fan of several of the menu items so I'd still give Anthony's a thumbs up either way. Let me start by saying, I don't like the pizza. Shocking yes, but I was raised with Dominos and Pizza Hut being the only two pizza options on the island and 17 years of loyalty to Dominos has somewhat clouded my pizza judgment. I appreciate Anthony's for offering some interesting pizza toppings - broccoli rabe, cauliflower etc...but it's just not the Dominos I'm used to and I tend to stay away from the pizza options. On this particular visit (forgive me for being greedy and forgetting to take all the pictures) we ordered almost the full menu. The salad - I'm a huge fan! I love it with the lettuce, but the insiders will let you know that you can order it with arugula only. The chicken wings - not much of a wing girl, but everyone else I know swears these are top notch. The eggplant marino - one of my favorites! The insider tip is to ask for it well done and get that extra crunch on the edges. The meatballs - again huge fan, but I may be biased by my love of ricotta cheese. The pizza - like I said I'm not crazy about it, mostly due to the coal fire grilling technique. On this particular visit we did half broccoli rabe and sausage and half fresh mozzarella and tomato and PRO TIP - we added prosciutto and asked for balsamic to dip it in. Dessert - my first time ordering dessert here, and the cheesecake did not let me down , plus it's huge (or at least our slice was...hmmm).

This location is just as great as the other ones! The service is really fast and friendly. And the pizza is so good it is making my mouth water just thinking about it. I love the fact that they keep the lights nice and dim in there. It really sets the mood for that intimate date with coal fired pizza. If you are a peperoni fan you will love the peperoni pizza, they double and triple stack them. I highly recommend you try them out and also try out the coal fired wings! They definitely aren't your run of the mill chicken wings!

Man, let's just say not even 20 minutes after eating here I had the worst cramping ever!!!! The first Anthony's I tried was in Miami lakes. Wayyyyyyyy better than this pines location. Pizza I give it 2 stars out of 5, had better pizza at chuckle cheese before. Definitely WAY too expensive for its quality. Spent $30 on a pizza and salad and they charge $3 for soda bottles. CRAZY! I was better off ordering dominos. Smh
(1)Lola N.
It wasn't worth $45. There was nothing special about the pizza nor the wings.it looks like it has a good bar. It wasn't bad but it wasn't impressive either.
(3)Mark S.
Stopped by for lunch today, service was slow and pizza so so and very pricey. Place was very clean but chainy. Had the meat lovers pie and the toppings and cheese were great but the crust made me think of what a leather belt would taste like. You can get a much better pie at Bella Roma on McNabb for 2/3rds the price.
(3)Mike P.
We've been here a number of times. The pizza is "coal-fired." That means cooked in a very hot oven. That makes the crust very well done. However, it also seems to undercook the veggies and leave the top of the pizza watery. The meat topped pizzas are pretty good. The meatball pizza is great. The hot pepper topping consists of whole peppers cooked on the top of the pizza, seeds and all. They are super hot and render the pizza nearly inedible. (I like spicy food, but they are way too hot.) We picked them off our pizza. When I noted the hotness of the peppers, I was told it was "a traditional italian thing." In my opinion, that's B.S. They don't have fountain soda, so you'll get a plastic bottle and cup of ice. I suppose that cuts down on refills. The bar has some good microbrews. However, they only have a beer and wine license. Their "cocktails" are made with wine. Avoid them. They waitresses are all female, in their early 20s, and dressed in tight black outfits. It's a bit tasteless.
(3)Victoria C.
Great atmosphere. love the mini meatballs not on the menu, but if you ask you shall receive!
(4)Morgan R.
Great pizza very friendly staff, Manager is very helpful and hard-working. Pizza is cooked just right. Ingredients are fresh By far the best pizza
(5)H B.
Pizza is pricey when you add toppings!
(3)Francine R.
Loveeee Anthony's pizza. Ironically, I have categorized their chicken wings as the best I have ever tried. They are seasoned with species like Rosemary and such... They taste amazing. Off course I love their pizza, it's crunchy and if you dip the crust into their house salad dressing, well you might just die of how great it tastes. Their house salad is simple, but tastes glorious! The secret is the vinaigrette!!! The space is great, spacious and has great staff and customer service.
(5)Leighton D.
This is an AWESOME Place... Would be 5 stars, but didn't know who I "had to hump around there" to get a refill on water. It's bad when a glass sits so long that the ice melts in order to create a refill.... Other than that, the pizza is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. The pizza is "well done" and tasty. Good Crust. I love the fact that the manager came by, and when he found out that it was our first time, offered us a sample of the wings, which are MIGHTY tasty. If the other locations are similar in class and taste to this one, then this is DEFINITELY a bucket list place. Will frequent often.
(4)Wendy R.
I really love this place BUT I think it's a little pricey. The pizza is amazing and I love the beer! The service is good & the atmosphere is great.
(4)Natalie J.
Sunday night at 9pm , we're new in town and huge fan of charcoal pizza . I asked a friend about a place nearby and she told me about it. After that i looked it up in Yelp which have good reviews. We arrived, nobody was in the entrance for welcome us. 4 minutes later a lady just appeared, the place was crowded so she told us a waiting time of 15 mins. We waited on the bar, where the bartendender offer us drinks and gave u a huge selection that she recomended. My husband asked a draft beer and i a sangria. Both were good. After a couple of mins, we were seated, ordered a salad as appetizzer and we asked the server who was very nice and attentive about which is the best pizza there. We ordered one with meatballs, peppers, ricotta. ( i cant remember the name, sorry) the pizza arrived soon and it looked spectacular, imagine the flavors!! We absolutely loved it!
(5)Stephanie P.
We come here all the time. Best pizza, best salad with their house dressing. Don't forget the Gorgonzola! I crave their cheese cake all the time. Awesome wings! My husband and son love their meatballs!
(5)Joanne C.
My family wanted to pick up pizza for dinner one night. I wanted something different than Pizza Hut or Papa John's. So I yelped this place and looked at the menus online. I ordered the traditional pizza without knowing the listed toppings below were extra charge. I went to pick up the pizza and realized it wasn't what I expected. It was partially my fault, but the hostess she said she can ask the manager. The manager was really nice about it and made a new pizza with the toppings. I was only charged for the extra toppings on the new pizza. I got mushroom, pepperoni and bell peppers for the toppings. It turned out to be pretty good. The pizza was not greasy and fresh. However, the dough was bit dry and crispy for me. Overall, I give this place 5 for service. Food was between 3.5 and 4. I would still come back to eat the pizza at the restaurant. I'm sure the pizza will taste better right out of the oven.
(4)Krystal O.
I love Anthony's and come here often. This is one of my top two favorite pizza spots, everything is amazing... love the salad, wings, pizza and focaccia bread. They also have a decent selection of beers on tap. The experience here is always good, the wait staff is friendly and they do a good job of remembering regulars. Glad to see so many locations have popped up throughout S. Florida
(5)Alex C.
Good pizza... The basil and tomato pizza is the best on the menu .. Simple and delicious
(4)Vito M.
Went there for lunch Sunday afternoon that is the most horrific service of Ever Seen in my life thank God the food is good I know you like bets he's a lock never going there again.
(2)John L.
Great service great food and a fun time. They figured out how to provide creative pizzas and a cozy atmosphere, and the wings and salads should not be overlooked. This was my first Anthony's discovery only to find one near my home in Willow Grove Pennsylvania. I was ecstatic.
(4)Chris R.
The pizza was great. Ordered a veggie pizza, and a pepperoni pizza for the table. It was great. The service was great too. The only problem I have is that every time I come to Anthony's, the restaurant has a vague smell of garbage. It's a shame.
(4)Susan H.
Love the wings here they are always PERFECT!! Also all the employees are super sweet!
(4)Kalvin K.
The food here is great as always. This location's service staff is sub-par. We went in when they just opened and were promptly seated at 11:30 AM (we were the first table). We were greeted by our waitress promptly for a drink order. After the drinks were provided, we told the waitress our order. The food came in 20 minutes or so, which was quite strange since we were one of the very few tables in the restaurant at that time. The waitress did not come back until the very end to remove our empty plates. My water glass was empty for half the time we were sitting there eating. The most frustrating thing was that the waitresses were just talking with each other behind the counter.
(2)Susan E.
We love their ricotta and meatball pizza! Margarita pizza is delicious also. Love the eggplant Marino as well as their grilled chicken wings with onions!! Quick service, great for take out too!
(4)Melissa M.
This pizza is FANTASTIC. We've eaten in and had carry out. The crust is chewy and folds. The tomatoes in the sauce are soooo good. The only thing that keeps them from being a 5 is that I like more vegetable topping options than what they offer. You have to try prosciutto and peppers on your pie. You won't be sorry. The meatball and ricotta is great.
(4)Michael S.
Best pizza in town , service sometimes very good but not consistent .Casey however is always wonderful
(5)Ernesto C.
Great pizza!!! That's all there is to say!!!! Keeping it light and fresh. A blue moon with a mozzarella sliced tomato and fresh basil pizza was perfect! Very simple tasty and fresh... When it comes to pizza... Just keep it simple people! Don't get crazy!!!
(5)Christina F.
They have the BEST Tuna Salad Sandwich I've ever had in my life! Pizza is good, but the Roasted Cauliflower Pizza is AMAZING! Service is great, I usually go at least once a week for lunch. Definitely a great place to eat.
(5)Laurie D.
Great wings but okay pizza. My husband and I usually polish off a order of wings and Large salad. Good service and the to go counter is the best. Everything is ready in less than 15 minutes.
(4)Jose G.
Good service, cooked and delivered at a desirable time. The food tasted great. No problems even during lunch time rush. Had the baby with me, was able to place her in the chair with us. No problems. Will come again.
(4)Justo M.
I don't get here that often, but I've always been impressed with their friendly staff. Their pizza is not the one I'm used to eating from NY, but make no mistake, it's very good pizza. Their chicken wings are cooked in the coal fired oven and always come out crispy delicious. It's a great place to go with a bunch of your friends and enjoy a good lively atmosphere.
(4)Donna M.
Last night we had three pies and the chicken wings. Came to $92. They were just okay. The vegetables were huge. The prosciutto covered the pie like wrapping paper and didn't have much flavor. Interesting concept with the coal fired but didn't live up to expectations and way over priced.
(1)Dee V.
Whoever all these people are that say it's good have obvious issues with their taste buds. #gross
(1)Giulia D.
We just can't get the pizza how we wont, try to order a few time a simples tomato SAUCE and mozzarella pizza and they still give us tomate pieces , which a said everytime we don't wont. That was ok by phone but then when we went at place and open the box tomate pieces again, the cashier nicely explained us that there is no way we can't get out of it!!!! At list she is sincere!!! Anyway i like the pizza my pour husband doesn't know because he can't eat it!
(2)Rajeev N.
Went to this place today for the first time and the food as well as the service was excellent. Our waitress, Daniela, was extremely enthusiastic and professional. The pizza and chicken wings were delicious. The staff in general was very polite and greeted us as we entered and again when we left. I will definitely be coming back for seconds!
(5)Peter L.
Anthony's is awesome - I've been to the Clifton and Pembroke Pine's locations, and both times it was excellent. $20 for one of their large specialty pizzas is good, considering you can feed 4 people on it - and the quality is awesome. Thin crust, well done... now I want some (and there aren't any in California unfortunately). Can't say I really understand why they are serving the drinks out of the bottles - just seems silly to create that much waste, when there are much simpler (and environmentally better) ways to do it. Simply put: the pizza is superb. If you're around one of them, try it.
(4)Max B.
The food here is always good. I like the pizza but as I get older i try to eat a little healthier. I generally come for lunch and have the salad with chicken which is very good. I recently had thier roast beef sandwich which is served on the pizza dough and its incredible. It doesnt come with cheese so you have to ask for it and occassionly I will ask to have some roasted red peppers. Very satisfying and not to filling.
(4)Werginn C.
You know what your going to get, no different than any other Anthony's Pizza. Good place to have a good Pizza
(4)Kethnie M.
Great good. Awsome pizza and amazing wings. A lot of flavor if your willing to spend a little more than normal.
(5)Suhay R.
Got into Anthony's pizza and was seated immediately. The waiter came over and attended us rather quickly. I was not happy with their kids menu, as they barely had one. By the time the pizza came, it was somewhat cold. The waiter took the pizza and brought us a new one. I'm not happy, being the first time I ever went there, but would consider going again.
(3)Mathias V.
Excellent pizzas. But I'm not visiting them anymore since I switched to a gluten-free diet. While gluten-free customers are not main-stream, I've seen that other less fancier pizza places already are serving gluten-free options. I can't understand why Anthony's is missing the message.
(3)Debi P.
Ordered pepperoni to go. Crust was so saugy that we could not eat it. We won't be back. Considering renaming this place "The Saugy Crust".
(1)Alfredo K.
My search for good pizza in Florida continues. So far Anthony's coal Fired Pizza gets three stars for effort and ok sauce. The bread is still lacking something. It's thin, but still kind of thick. I wish I could send them a pie from Louie and Ernie's in the Bronx or Patsy's in Harlem. Just because it's thin doesn't mean that it should be so rigid. I can't explain it, you just have to eat it to get the gist of it. I hear the wings are amazing, but I wanted to try the pizza today. I'll come back until I find a better place. The waiter service was ok. and the decor was pubby. Probably a good place to watch a game and throw down some beers.
(3)Ana O.
The most disappointing experience. I order the eggplant and I thought it was pasta .. well nope!! Nothing! It was only the eggplant, with a tomatoes sauce.. boring and expensive to be just that. My husband ordered chicken wings, and they were salty as the ocean, we did not enjoy our meal at all. I felt like if I was ripped off. For what I got.. I was so shocked.. the bread and onions was okay, but still.. the menu is very limited. I guess their specialty is only pizza at $20.00 family pizza that is thin in crust. Won't go back I don't think so.
(1)Jessica G.
I am going to give this place 2 stars because I love their wings and pizza, the freshness is absolutely wonderful! As far as my waitress SHE was terrible and not to mention its the second time I go to this location and she has been my waitress both time ! As far as selections the cauliflower pizza is AMAZING, as well as their eggplant pizza. Very much a recommend franchise.
(3)Ari K.
Paul and young rons pizza is the way to go.
(4)Kristen S.
Pricey for pizza and wings. With that said... Best. Wings. EVER. Get the Paul and Young Ron pizza - OMG so good. Meatballs, sausage, hot and sweet peppers (get both!)
(4)Patty G.
Hm. Perhaps I need to return to Anthony's because I thought this place was just OK but on other reviews all I see are 5 stars. But here goes anyways. I must admit [even though I don't want to] that I'm a pizza snob [according to my husband]. See, for the past 3 years I've lived in the NYC/NJ area where the pizza is outstanding... seriously it's true! Before I had NYC pizza I thought it was all a myth... yeah yeah pizza is pizza, right? WRONG! It DOES taste better in NYC [and NJ]. I've been told it's the water. Well, whatever it is... it's freaking awesome. Now that I've moved back home to South Florida, I see--erm, taste the difference. What a disappointment! Missin' my Termini, Sorrentina, and Benny Tudino's giant pizza slices. This poses a challenge and I will go hunting for that NYC-like pizza in South Florida [I hope somewhere down here that exists!--wish me luck]. Ah-hem. Back to my Anthony's review. We had the regular cheese pizza. It was pretty... regular. I mean it wasn't BAD but it was just OK... sorry, it's my NYC taste talking! I guess if you haven't lived in the NE you will like it [that's the snob talking]. We also had a calzone. Typical cheese with tomatoes and basil. The calzone was pretty yummy, I will definitely go back for that. I would also like to go back and try the wings as I LOVE chicken wings [me=vegetarian arrepentida]. As for the atmosphere of this place, it was pretty cool. They have pictures of famous artists' on their walls, large pictures of Marilyn, Elvis, Sinatra, and more. Feels like a fancy pizza place. The menu isn't very large... regrettably. Where is the pasta? The service was pretty bad. Apparently that is a staple in restaurants around South Florida [according to our friends]. Will I go back? Yes. As I live pretty close by and this place beats eating Papa Johns.
(3)Harvey D.
Seeing as how I am not the biggest pizza fan, it's hard for me to give any place that specializes in pizza more than three stars unless they do something to really blow my socks off. Anthony's did not. I decided to sit outside which was nice and relaxing; however, I feel as though I didn't receive great service b/c I was sitting outside. The waitress was average (at best) and didn't refill my water glass or check on my once my food arrived. To be fair to her, I did order a beer but I still want my water refilled once my glass is empty. The wings were average and they put carmeiized onions on top of the wings and some sort of Italian bread on the side of which both I could have done without. They did give me a lot of drumsticks which not a lot of places do. I did try a couple slices of pizza and the crust was really good. I should have probably ordered the pizza instead of the wings and if I go back, that's what I will do. it's very rare that I don't finish an order of wings and I couldn't finish them this time. Some of it had to do with the fact that I wasn't that hungry and the other part of this equation was they started to get bland. I like my wings doused in hot sauce and I learned my lesson about ordering wings that are mild. Oh, well! If it wasn't for the pizza, this place probably would have received two stars. I can't say I'm a huge fan of Anthony's but I am willing to give it another shot.
(3)Heather J.
One of the best pizzas I have had in the past year. Once I opened the box the aroma of the coal fire, olive oil, basil, and fresh mozzarella was nirvana. A co worker and I shared a small, 6 slices, and still had some to share. I think I need to order it again. I agree it's all about the pizza.
(4)Cynthia F.
This place is great! The pizzas, salads, wings etc. all is super fresh and yummy.
(5)Mehgan K.
Best pizza in town! If I could give it 4 1/2 stars, I would. The pizza is delicious, I love the sauce and the thin, coal-fired crust. The wings are delicious, with just the right amount of saltiness and herbs. I love that they offer gorgonzola with their salads (even though I think it's over-priced). Oh, and last time I went, they were offering a special on $2 Peroni's on a Tuesday night, which is music to my ears. The only downsides to this place is that they don't deliver. If they did, I'd probably be ordering from them weekly.
(4)Arleen C.
Running errands with my best friend from Puerto Rico, we got hungry, were in the area and decided it was a good chance to introduce her to Anthony's. Jessica was our very gracious, friendly and nice server. She took our order promptly and made sure we always had everything we needed. Our EXCELLENT pizza came out and my friend was not disappointed at all, she loved it!!! As usual, this location was wonderful in their service and food. Looking forward to many more visits and many more delicious pizzas.
(4)Kevin D.
I guess I'll be the bad guy here. I'm an easy guy to please in restaurants but I'm sorry the pizza is burnt. "well done" no burnt! I have been here 3 times before I wrote a review and have to say this place is expensive, the food is good besides the pizza. Was it the best pizza I ever had, no way! Not to mention a bit of an attitude:)
(3)Lauren C.
A little pricey but I love their meatball pizza and seasoned wings.
(4)Sean M.
Very good pizza, I can tell the difference between oven pizza in taste compared to this coal cooked pizza. The place has some sexy blonds and brunettes working there, with excellent attitudes.I felt right at home there while I was waiting for my pizza drinking a Italian beer.Definitly going to repeat, As a matter of fact I will go back to just see and be around those women.
(4)Richard W.
This place has great pizza. It's pizzas are thin and crispy, slightly smoky and burnt on the edges, and perfectly cooked. Sauce and toppings are delicious and fresh. As soon as you walk in the service is great and attentive. They will answer anything you have to ask and will make your pizza exactly how you want it. It is more expensive than the average papa johns but it's worth it. The parking lot is usually pretty full but there's usually a spot. I will be coming back over and over.
(4)Kim J.
Our fav .... We are 2 hours back from vaca. And came straight here. Great food, wonderful people. Feels like home.
(5)Christopher G.
Ok, so every now and again, when I get in the mood for Pizza (yes, that's Pizza. With a capital 'P'), there's only one place I turn to; that's Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. Probably the best pizza in South Florida. Amazing. Simply amazing.
(5)maira e.
If I could give it ten stars I would. Ive never had pizza like this before. Everything was fresh and the flavors were out of this world. I don't live near an Anthony's but every chance I get I always return. This is my favorite pizza EVER! Better than ny pizza from NY, better than deep dish Chicago pizza from Chicago, better than any other mom and pop pizza place Ive tried. Coal fire is very different from those other types of pizza. The coal fire adds a very distinct smoky, crispy, and delicious flavor. Everything on the menu is really good. My favorites are the Mozzerella & basil pizza. The Basil is so fresh and really stands out in this pizza. Meatball and Ricotta pizza if youre there with a big enough group you must order the salad and the wings. Both are out of this world. Servers are always pleasant. Attentive, fast, and friendly without being obtrusive...they do their job and they do it well.
(5)Robert R.
Okay why isnt this 5 stars who messed it up? In all of Florida, and I get around this is clearly the best Pizza. Being from Brooklyn we need to add two more stars to this review. I realize this review might cause over crowding but I hope it dosent lower the quality. Oh you think you know someplace better? I am hear to say been there ate that and you're wrong. Get a Pizza, salad and a beer, usually a nice cold Corona goes good with this food, or a glass of wine. None of that bitter stuff in the green bottle. Why are you still sitting there reading this? get up and get over there, Look around I'm sure you can spot me. I'm the wet guy in the scuba outfit.
(5)Juan K.
Pizza here is GREAT! price is good too! I use to go here every weekend! The salads are good as well.
(4)Barry E.
I was told how good their pizza is, so I tried Anthony's for the first time and I didn't like it. The crust was burned and had no taste. Besides that..I ordered for pick up and was told it would be 20 minutes. When I arrived after 20 minutes, my pizza wasn't ready for another 20 minutes! I won't be trying them again.
(1)Andy T.
So far the best in Pines. I used to go to Joey the baker but they haven't been as consistent with their pizzas. The pizza is delicious with a very thin crust. The wings are a little salty for my taste buds but along with the bread and onions are very delicious. Hard to eat just the wings on their own.
(5)Danny B.
I LOVE THIS PLACE! However my wife hates it! DOH! Shes not a pizza fan... I am from NY and pizza is my favorite food. Everything is cooked in a coal fired oven hence the name! Pizza is a little pricey but I think its worth it... Thin and crispy.... If you like wings, theirs are unique! Can't describe them, just go get em! They have ribs, salads sandwiches etc... They serve only beer and wine and have many locations! Highly recommended!
(5)Jenny Q. V.
I'm a fan...pizza is great! they have a delicious salad. I wish they just had a little bit more on the menu...but if you are in the mood for some pizza and salad and not feel like you will blow up after dinner this is the place to go to.
(4)Christina S.
For Florida pizza its good. I always get the meatball and ricotta pizza. It's even better with a Peroni beer on tap!
(4)David M.
I'm a big fan of the Eggplant Marino. If you're an eggplant fan, you gotta give it a try.
(4)Ikam A.
Pizza was awesome, salad was great, they just didn't have an extensive selection of menu items. I would go back if I were in a pizza mood, but I wasn't last night, so I just had the salad. The decor was great and the ambience was fantastic, so I am giving it 4 stars instead of 3 just for that (and because the pizza I tried was really good. Otherwise Id give it 3 because of the limited selection of items. Great salad, though! They have beer and wine, so that's a plus. Loved the place though, as far as the decor. A bit impersonal because the tables were too close together, but it's okay for a casual date.
(4)Michael C.
Really not that great. Pizza and salad here will run around 40 for two, and with that you get typically apathetic service, a pizza that appears perfectly well-done but is actually soggy towards the middle (no, for the record this pizza is not burnt), and only moderately high quality toppings. If the price was in line with the quality or taste of the product, I would give this place three stars, although definitely not more then that. To be fair, the salads and other items they have are fine, but nothing outstanding, just like the pizza. Coal fired pizza is best sampled in New York at small, independently owned establishments, otherwise, there is much better pizza of different styles throughout South Florida.
(2)Luz B.
Food is yummy, menu is unfortunately small.

At first I liked it, because it was new and different, but the very last time I had the pizza I must say, its a little over cooked almost burnt imo. My favorite is the meatballs pizza. But 3 stars to being over rated.

I am a pizzaholic and a pizza snob. I have not tasted a coal fired pizza that is better than Anthony's. Usually I don't care for pizza and wings together, but their wings are just incredible. Perfectly seasoned, and very charred. The service here is always impeccable.

Excellent, i love going there with my family.

The first time I tried Anthony's was the one on US-1 in Miami. My boyfriend and I ordered a pizza, because we heard all the hype and even though we liked it we just didn't LOVE it. Well my cousin convinced me to try it again. We started off with a salad, that was very fresh with a light dressing, we then got the pizza that had no sauce, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil. We got pizza sauce on the side just to add a little to your bite. It was truly DELISH! I still can't say it's the best pizza I have had, which is why I didn't give it a 5 star, but it was still very good, and I definitely will try it again. Plus you have Menchies Yogurt shop right next door for a discounted ice cream when you eat at Anthony's, so it's a win win in my book :)

My plain Jane pepperoni pizza was truly an explosion of flavor. The pizza was smoky, crispy(thin crust), and cooked JUST RIGHT. Highly recommend.

If you want some good pizza go to this place. My first time ever going here was an experience. Usually when I go out to eat pizza is never on the list of places to eat, cause I normally do the take out pizza. So my friend insisted we go here. The place was very nice. I liked the fact that the were playing sports on all the flat screens. This will probably be my new place to eat during football and basketball seasons. When we sat we ordered the grilled wings, which were phenomenal. I loved how they had grilled onions on top of them. We also ordered a small pizza with rocatta and meatballs. WOW was it one of the best pizzas I've had so far. I'm glad I gave this place a chance. I shall be going here as much as I can.

I was just forced to drive 20 mins across town to get their pizza... If that's any indication of the food

10 stars! My husband and I dined here last night and it was AMAZING. I love pizza and wood or coal fired is my absolute favorite. I had high expectations and Anthony's did not disappoint! The wings. Oh, the wings. I have never been a wing person because I can't stand that orange sauce that most places slop all over them. These wings are basically salt, pepper(?), oil and herbs fired to perfection & topped with grilled onions. Absolutely amazing! The pizza- I'm usually a cheese w/ basil fan but my husband likes meat on his pizza so we went with the specialty Ron & Paul Young. While the pizza was perfect, I made a mistake by ordering spicy peppers. I'm from TX and I love spicy, but it seemed like these would be tolerable only if you can take some serious clear-your-sinuses-make-your-eyes-water heat. The crust was amazing, the sauce was great, the toppings were great and the ricotta made it even more heavenly. I'm actually on vacation and rarely return to the same place twice when there are so many new places to explore, but we'll be returning this week for sure! We need an Anthony's in HOUSTON please!!! At home I make a similar garlic-herb wing in my plain ol' oven and make my own pizzas from scratch on my grill just to get something similar to what this place offers --- but NOTHING beats the heat of a coal or wood fired oven! It's hard not to rave about the food for hours, but there were a few other things that made this place perfect: Atmosphere - 5 Warm, cozy, inviting but also had TV's so my husband could watch the playoffs. Service -5 Friendly, but swift! Another 5 stars. Drinks - 5 Some people think getting a drink in a 20 oz bottle is weird, but as a coca-cola purist, I think it's fantastic. How many times does soda out of a fountain actually taste as fresh as it's suppposed to? Rarely. In fact, I usually order water or tea at most restaurants because of this. With a bottle, it still has that refreshing fizz that makes coca-cola, coca-cola. Good idea! Restroom -5 I got to check out the facility while washing the wings off my hands. A clean restroom is a must for me. When they're filthy it always makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. Theirs was impeccable! Well-designed, super clean and had my favorite thing -- foam soap!

I was pleased with Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza....They pile on a good portion of toppings and their crust blends well with the sauce and other toppings. The pizza was just a little too salty the night I tried it. (Perhaps that's just a one-time thing?). The crust is not deep dish...The crust was kind of unique in that is was really thin under the topping part of the pizza, but a bit thicker at the edges. In any case, service was excellent...our server explained all the items we had questions on and was prompt / attentive. You will pay a bit more than your average pizza, but quality was also above average.

Great food which helps make up for the service

Hands down the best pizza in S FL. Small and simple menu, but they knock it down! Consistent product... Wings, salad, peperoni and garlic pizza with a couple of Peronis... Can't go wrong!

Pizza, Wings, Hopical Illusion IPA Place is kind of small and may hold up to 40 people or so if it were packed inside the place; there were a few tables outdoors as well. Hostesses/ servers will seat you, but the first thing you see when you walk in is the bar. Huge wine selection, and a small beer selection. There are a few booths and some tables. Place looks nice, but not like upscale nice; there are like 6, 62" flat screen with sports playing. So essentially a decent place to watch a game. So to the food. Original large pie ($15) The pies were a bit pricier than I'm used to paying, but very much worth it. They're thin crust pies, and the original had cheese tomatoes, and I think basil, but I can't remember. The cheese had actually tasted like mozzarella cheese, which was amazing! The dough was super good! I don't know what they did with it, they must have rubbed it with some olive oil and rosemary or something like that. It kind of came off taking buttery which was different, but in a very good way. Maybe the coal fire had something to do with it, but whatever it was, it was crazy good. Chicken wing ($10) I was actually going to order the caprese since it's sooo difficult to mess up on, but as I was getting seated, I saw an order on some other patron's table, and well it looked super good. When they came to the table they were hot, smelled of onions and garlic and pure deliciousness. They looked super good too, with little bits of the chicken wings slightly charred, but not to a crisp. Texture of the wings were great as well. They were moist and tender, and not dry at all. BUT.... They were WAYYY too salty. I had one bite of a single wing... thought to myself, "this is salt, molded into a shape of chicken wing." Ruby had to put it down too. We ended up returning the dish as soon as we caught our server. She mentioned they were typically not that salty and reassured me that it never comes out like this. However she said if I wanted wings, they would come out that way until another batch is made the next day. Anyway she comped the order and replaced it with Italian tuna salad sandwich. Italian tuna salad sandwich Super delicious, with large chunks of tuna, and stuffed with arugala! The bread was very flavorful and the olive oil vinagrette was good as well. This essentially could have been a dish for one, but I ended up splitting it as if it were an appetizer. I have to warn that the one we got had a lot of dressing on it, so it was pretty oily, but I love olive oil, so I was totally ecstatic about it. Will order again! Hoptical Illusion ($7) This was 12oz bottle beer. I've never seen it before but love IPA. It was also the only one they carried at the restaurant. Great floral nose, great hoppy bite, but wished it came larger wider glass. The beer was served with one of those tall skinny beer glasses, which I'm not a fan of. But overall, nice beer, but just overpriced. Service was great! We got the wings comped without a hassle or long winded excuse. Management actually comped the Tuna Salad sandwich as well, which we were expecting to pay for, since the overall service was great to begin with. The server stopped by several times to make sure we were happy with our drinks and our food, but not excessive. Overall Awesome experience! At lunch on a recent occasion: $3 beers (Blue moon, Avery white rascal, and some random brown ale) They had a couple of other beers on the menu that were bottled and couple of beers on draught but nothing out of this world. They carried Avery White Rascal, and a brown ale, which they also serve in the tall glasses, however, they were only $3 a glass. They also had Blue moon Belgium wit, woopie doo! Strictly went in for beers and it was delightful and quiet. Oh yeah, the brown ale was very good as well, kind of reminded me of a nutbrown ale back home.

Great place great vibe and decorated with American memorabillia. Loved to be there and good to take the family or just go and hang out with yor buddies. Go check it out. They also have good pizza really good wings.
(4)Eugie E.
The pizza is very thin and they bake it in a 800 oven and it cooks in a few minutes. It's well-done. The green salad is very fresh and crisp. Now I can tell you about the salad dressing. Wow!!!! I think we go here just for the salad.
(5)Janessa A.
Love this place, selection is very limited but I guess its quality not quantity. They have specialty pizzas including a white pizza thats 4 cheeses and no sauce, good a lil different, they have a meatball and ricotta pizza, and a few others. Theyre crust is really well done, and the sauce is great if you like your pizza and crust crispy this is for you.Theyre house salad is amazing!! It can feed three and brings greens, kalamata olives, gorgonzola cheese, tomatoes, egg, chickpeas, red onions, and this amazing vinagrette dressing. Theyre grilled wings are also very tasty, no sauce tho.

This place is great. The food is excellent, great staff and unbelievable wings. Try paul and young Ron's pizza.
(5)Mike P.
Pizza here is excellent however the drinks here are bottled which means no refills from a fountain machine. This seemed odd to me for a restaurant. The beer is quite expensive so make sure you look at the prices before you start going through 5 or so beers. Service was good as well.

The pizza at this place was mind-blowing. I hadn't had pizza this good since Chicago. I'll add more to the review later because my wife is actually hurrying me to go eat there right now!

I have eaten at Anthonys in Fort Lauderdale, and had a much different experience. In Pembroke Pines, our pizzas were burnt, and I do mean burnt. A bit of char is expected, but more black than not is not acceptable. They have signs all over saying that 'our pizzas are well done'. Personally I think this is a cop out. The $50 bill for my husband and I to have pizza and a couple of beers was a bit of sticker shock as well. IF I choose to return to Anthony's, it will not be the Pembroke Pines location.

This is hands down the best pizza I have had since relocating from NY five years ago. First time there tonight, and will certainly become a repeat customer! I highly recommend!

Best Pizza ever, and their Italian salad is amazing. The ambiance is very casual and down to earth. The staff is super friendly. Overall the best place to have a pizza night.

consistantly good pizza, quality ingredients. Comfortable atmosphere. Also enjoy the salad and wings ( ask for some lemon to squeeze on the wings .

I go to Anthony's in Aventura all the time, but this was my first time @ the one in Pines, I must say it had the best service! I sat at the bar and my bartender was "Barbie" and she was very nice and sweet and very attentive! My food came out very fast! I was pretty impressed. It was also my fathers first time there and he loved it! Also as we were leaving the hostess opened the exit door for us
(5)Dean K.
Everything on the menu is excellent ! The staff is always friendly. The only reason that I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the high sodium content. Be ready to drink a lot a of water afterwards.

I heard about this place so much but never had the chance to try it until today. The place is nice not too big not too small, the service is excellent and the pizza is amazing. We ordered a large pizza with mushrooms and prosciutto, each slice had a slice of prosciutto and not tiny slices, I have never seen other pizzeria do that. I tried one of their crafted beers 'd-cigar city maduro' which was amazing too with a special smokey flavour. The service was excellent, server was attendant and they would serve you the first pizza slices which was a nice touch. Great place, prices, and true Italian coal fired pizza.
(5)Karen T.
Anthony's pizza not as good as it was before. I haven't been to this place in a while, but I was in thw area and remembered really liking it. I ordered the roasted cauliflower and garlic pizza, since it looked so good in the picture. Sadly the pizza dough was hard and bland. The garlic was nonexistent, the only thing good about it was the cauliflower itself. Never going back again.

Da bomb! This is the best pizza AND wings in Pines, hands down. On top of that, the beer menu is sick. There are lots of national chain places around here that will sell you a standard pizza for an average price, but who wants standard and average? Not this fella! The pizza is coal fired, so it has that nice, crispy bottom. The signature pies are unique and tasty. The ingredients are fresh and robust. That alone would bring in a 5 star rating, but the wings are just, whoa. Boom. Incrediballs. They are crispy and coal-fired as well, so they don't come out soggy and mushy. They come out delish. The feel in the place is quaint and kinda dark, so it has a fun vibe. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.
(5)Sam Y.
Delicious pizza, reasonable price, great service. Do be careful about the spicy Italian pepper. It's spicy. Very friendly staff. I work not too far away, and every day at lunchtime, I have to resist the temptation to come here.

Great pizza but pets in restaurant grossed me out!! Since when are people allowed to bring their pets inside a restaurant?? It wasn't a service dog with the little red vest. Some lady had her dog in one of those big dog strollers. Very obvious! While we ate, she had him out on her lap and he was bouncing all around the table area. Makes me wonder what kind of pet was at my table, before me? Pets are fine but not where I'm eating!! Anyhow, we love the Paul and young Ron pizza! Lots of meat and peppers. It's excellent! We also order the delicious house salad with Gorgonzola. Downfall is they don't have fountain drinks, just bottles.:( Would've given it 4 stars but allowing pets in restaurant brought it down!

When you go to Anthony's, you know what you're getting. It's not the best pizza in the world, but it is good enough to satisfy a craving. The wings are pretty good, I just sometimes wish they had more to offer in the appetizer department. A little mozzarella stick never hurt nobody!
